Terms of Use

Draft — not yet in force

This document is an unreviewed draft. It was prepared as a starting point and has not been reviewed by legal counsel. Bracketed fields marked in amber must be completed, and the limitation of liability, warranty, and governing law clauses reviewed by a qualified lawyer, before it is relied upon.

These terms govern your use of the CannaTrack Solutions public website. Use of the CannaTrack platform itself is governed by the separate written agreement between [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] and the subscribing organization; where that agreement conflicts with these terms, that agreement prevails.

1. What this website is

This site describes the CannaTrack Solutions platform and provides general information about blockchain-anchored verification of Certificates of Analysis. It is informational. Nothing on it constitutes legal, regulatory, scientific, or compliance advice.

2. The demonstration verification portal

The verification portal presented on the home page is a demonstration. It returns fictional sample records created to illustrate the platform's verification states. The laboratory names, licence and accreditation numbers, batch identifiers, product names, and blockchain transaction identifiers shown are invented and do not correspond to any real laboratory, licensee, product, or on-chain record.

No result produced by the demonstration portal may be relied upon as evidence of the authenticity, status, or test results of any actual product or certificate.

3. What verification does and does not establish

Where the production CannaTrack platform reports a certificate as verified, that finding is limited to the integrity and provenance of the record. Specifically, it indicates that a document matching a registered cryptographic fingerprint was submitted by an authorized account at a recorded time and associated with a stated batch.

Verification does not establish, and CannaTrack does not represent, that:

Responsibility for testing accuracy and sampling rests with the issuing laboratory. Responsibility for regulatory compliance rests with the licensed operator.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. Intellectual property

The content, design, and software of this site are owned by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. You may view and print pages for your own business evaluation. Any other reproduction or redistribution requires written permission.

6. Third-party links

This site may reference third-party organizations or resources. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

[To be drafted by counsel. This clause should address the "as is" nature of the informational website, and must be consistent with any warranties given in the platform subscription agreement.]

8. Limitation of liability

[To be drafted by counsel. Note that enforceability of liability caps varies by jurisdiction, and that the cannabis testing context raises consumer-safety considerations that a generic cap may not survive.]

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes are subject to [VENUE / DISPUTE RESOLUTION MECHANISM].

10. Changes

We may revise these terms. The date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance.
